We got quotes from at least 4 garage door companies and North Shore Garage was the most reasonable. A bit aggressive on securing the contract, but understandable due to how the market is. Had a very good experience working with the installer and our garage looks great! They even did an adjustment for us for free to ensure we were satisfied. North Shore Garage also over communicates which is super helpful to ensure nothing gets lost in the shuffle.
Our garage door was not closing due to problems with unbalanced springs. I called the office, and John scheduled the service for the afternoon on the same day. Alex, the technician, arrived on time, checked the system, and provided a cost estimate. The cost estimate was very reasonable, so I didn't seek estimates from other companies. Alex was very professional and gave me a thorough explanation of the garage door system. Thank you, Alex, for a great service and answering my questions patiently.
Very pleased with their service. I had NSGD install a new garage door several years ago and recently had them back for a door check/tune-up. John in the office was very pleasant to work with. Alex, the technician, did a great job. He was very informative, honest, and professional. I highly recommend this business.
North Shore Garage Doors has been servicing my garage doors for years always receiving professional service, right on time and fair prices. But what really sets them apart is their customer service. I recently had an issue with the garage door, sensors providing a false signal in the morning, due to the intense sun light, and they explained and sent me pictures / videos on how to fix it, with no charge. Their service is awesome!
After another company couldn't fix our garage door issue and made the problem worse, JV and Brian came out the same day I called and assessed the situation, clearly explained to me what needed to be done, and made an appointment to come back the next day to implement the fixes. While we ended up switching course from their recommendation, they were understanding and did a fantastic job making our door functional again. Would absolutely recommend them and the team to others.
What a great garage door company! I had such a pleasant experience from my time on the phone with John to the in person experience I had with Vernon. Garage door repair is a hot business online for lead generators but this is a local, family owned business, whose focus on service and satisfaction is unparalleled. Keep doing what you are doing! We just had North Shore install a new garage door and lift system. Will was very helpful and came out several times to take a look at our current system and recommend options. John was always helpful via email and text with quoting, scheduling, etc. Vernon did a nice job with the installation. What I enjoyed about the experience - there was no pressure to make a sale. They respected my decision-making timeframe. Also they were flexible and easy to work with throughout the process.
Our garage door wouldn’t open and they didn’t have any technicians available till the next day. We were heading out of town before then and needed to get the door open so we could get the car out. John was very patient and took the time to trouble shoot with us until we got the door open. Thank you so much John, we REALLY appreciate your time and expertise!
After one of the cables broke on the garage door I immediately called the office. Within 5 minutes I received a return call letting me know my service technician Freddy will be able to service the door within the hour. Freddy arrived as expected, friendly but cold. He was able to compete the repair and enjoy a cup of hot coco. Thank you to the office for making this last minute addition to the schedule and thank you Freddy.
I needed a broken spring on my garage door replaced. When I was contacted by North Shore they said they could fix the problem today and were available until 6pm. Freddy was awesome. He arrived early and was waiting for me to arrive from work. He went over the work and completed the job before I knew it. He was very thorough and made sure the door was balanced and operating properly before he left. A great technician and an awesome person. North Shore will be my first choice for any future repairs. I highly recommend them.
North Shore was great. I called on a Friday evening with a broken spring and wires on my garage door and they were out within the hour to fix it. The front office was helpful in explaining what turned out not to be covered on my prior service warranty, and the technician, Freddy, was friendly and efficient in getting the job done. Glad to help their professional service nearby.
I can't speak highly enough of North Shore Garage Doors! I called around 8:30am on a Saturday about a broken door and they sent someone over at 10am. Freddy was fantastic. He fixed the springs on the broken door immediately (gotta love whey they travel with all the parts they need!), respooled the cables, and did a complimentary tune up on both my doors. He was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend!!
